Dear Deb,
Thank you for looking at a couple of small old photographs I was given recently by an elderly relative of mine who had no idea of who the people were. You told me that two of the photographs were of the same man, which I hadn't recognised, but you were unable to do any more with him at that time because you were getting too bad a headache from him. The other was of an old man standing with a dog and a younger woman and child. I knew the man was my greatgrandfather but had no idea who the woman could be, but you said she was a daughter or certainly someone he thought of as a daughter.
After coming home I looked at the portrait of my grandmothers' family photo to see if the man could be one of her brothers. I decided it could only be one so searched through my records and low and behold found a write up from the Ganmain newspaper at the time of his death. The two small photos that pertained to him were of him with a fire he had built obviously after clearing land. The other of him with a sythe in his hand, which spoke to the age of it, standing in front of a crop with 2 ladies who were standing behind a few stalks, probably to show how tall it was,
The paper reported that John Thomas "had not been well for some time, his health having been seriously affected following an accident about 18 months ago and from which he subsequently lost the sight of an eye, due to being struck, while driving in a sulky, by gravel from a passing car." I think that would definitely have caused a bad headache! The report went on to say further down that, "Besides being highly esteemed and very deeply respected, he was well known for his knowledge of a diversity of rural activities. Prior to leaving Victoria in 1926, his crop won the wheat growing competition at Nathalia." This clinched the identification for me, it was the photo in front of his prize wheat crop.
So now I studied the other photo with my greatgrandfather and compared it to several others, the dog being the trigger as he also appeared in other photos too. I am now convinced that the lady in question is his youngest daughter with her first child.

I have just seen the programme "eating media lunch" and they were trying to say that you are a fake. Wel,l my darling girl don't you dare let these small minded hurtful people get you down. You had told me about this, what had happened to you years ago when you were set up. Well it is that same clip from four years back.
So do not be concerned they had to find something so old to put on as you have not been proven a fraud and they are in fear of you, also I guess trying to gather ratings!
I know first hand that you are an angel of light and have proven to myself and thousands of others you are kind, loving and truthful with a very special gift. You have helped me get through such pain after losing my two children. Speaking for them from the other side, and in their different manners. And I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart.

If I bother to watch much TV, I make an effort to watch our NZ version of Sensing Murder. What I see are very rare people who appear to only want to help others. Yourself and our own Sue Nicholson, Kelvin Cruickshank and at times Australian Scott Russell Hill have only ever, from what I get to see on TV, made every effort to help find the answers.
Do I believe in what you do?? . I certainly want to but I have to admit I hold on to a certain barrier in order to fend off the risk of ultimately being conned.
Have I ever personally experienced your type of abilites?. Only once that I know of. It was when my younger daughter was about 3 or 4 (shes now 16) and she has never done it again. I spoke to her about only a couple of weeks ago but also explained that sadly I am beginning to doubt myself of what she said and now cannot be sure that it wasn't all a very vivid dream that has somehow manifested into what I thought was real. However I have asked her to please be very careful in case she does have an ability like yours. (I hope she does, because it means she will have something to help others). But I asked her to never fool with it and only pursue it if her heart tells her to.
I don't know fully your religious convictions ( although you mention God on your web page) and while I was brought up as a christian I have to say I don't believe in God in the manor of the church (oh yeah so why did I use a capital G in the name) but I do believe in a superior energy that somehow is running the show. I prefer to believe its is the Universe itself ( there's my God ) and I prefer to believe we are not on our own in the Universe.
So why am I writing you in the first place?. Well our home grown show Eating Media Lunch chose to make a mockery of you (shown on TV2 10pm Friday 26th Oct 2007) where they used actors to ask you to contact loved ones that never actually existed and you said they were in communication with you and thus the show called you a hoax. This of course sat my wife a I back on our butts and put a damper on the idea that there is life after death and that all this time Sensing Murder has been a well orgistrated con. Sadly today it is so damned hard to tell fact from fiction. There is so much lies and deceit and it can all seem so convincing.
So what am I going to do about it? Well I going to continue to holding on to believing in you and our own Psychics mentioned earlier. Though I will still also hold onto that barrier for a while if thats ok by you, just in case and all :>). I will also be very weary that you are one of a very few truly gifted people and so many others are not.
So.... thank you Deb Webber for who you are, for what you do and I wish you the very best.

A little weasel of a TV presenter called Jeremy Wells recently claimed to have "exposed" you on his mean-spirited little mock news/entertainment show here in New Zealand. He showed some very brief clips of you relaying information that came to you when 2 or 3 people visited you presenting fictitious relatives for you to contact, in an attempt to expose you as a fraud.
I just want to reassure you that your response and your insistence on your honesty in spite of the confusing situation was resoundingly convincing and that the only thing exposed was Mr Wells' bitter soul.
Recently there have been enormous strides in people's acceptance of talents like yours, and one of the greatest gifts Sensing Murder has given us all is to help us realise that we need to screen out the frauds and lesser talents before passing judgment. You really need a union and a guild - with a rigorous screening process before membership granted!
Please don't be hurt by people's attempts to put you down - there are so many frightened people out there, and lashing out is our first response when we feel threatened, especially by the 'unknown'.
I've got a strong feeling that partly because of programmes like SM and Colin Fry's, for instance, we are on the verge of a new stage of acceptance for psychic talent and belief in things 'supernatural'. I hope so, and I hope that you get all the recognition and support that you deserve.

You have a very large following in this country who would like to have the priviledge of a reading with you (sincerely) and I found this programme to be very cruel and if a grown up can act and think it is fun to condone those actions maybe the production company responsible needs to start up its own Play School for children using these presenters.

It was amazing but they were ripping you off, your a very strong lady for doing what you do even when people put you down. If it was me I don't think I'd cope! Also I was reading on your website that your heart hurts, no wonder! One thing they ask you is, don't you think it's unfair to take advantage of people when there in a stressed & emotional stage, well they obviously haven't been to your sight & read what you have written yourself & don't realise that you are a person with feelings too.
I got Nigel Latta's book out from the library because I heard he wrote a chapter on Sensing Murder & it was quite nice to read something positive about it :)

I was the second person you talked to at the Greymouth show on the 23 rd October 2007. A number of people in the audience knew me and thought I was lucky to be picked from such a large group for a quick reading. At work the next day a few people asked me “well, was she right? you sure kept a straight face.” The answer is yes, she was right and yes I kept a straight face ,partly out of shock from being picked and partly not wanting to give anything away. I know a number of sceptics and I wanted others to know I gave zero feedback (neither positive or negative) to bais anything said.
I had an uncle who died many years ago, suddenly (heart attack) and was very close to his younder sister, my mother. My wife is always telling me I live in a world of my own (just as well, the sky is always blue) and I have put some energy into learning about the spiritual and supernatural world ,after an encounter with something that made me feel very uncomfortable (I have always protected myself).
I believe my uncle has been wanting to talk to mum for a while. They were still in Australia on holdiay when the show was on. Since then Either I have been at work or they have, but I will (this week) talk to mum and fill her in.
Your insight has suggested to me that I should pick up where I left off five years ago. My wife and I have three very young kids and finding time for everything is tough, though as they get older, time pressures relax a little. I had about 15 people say the next day at work. “I didn't know you were psychic”, “Do you do readings?”, “freaky aye!” and a number just tell me about there experiences.
I have thanked my wife for buying me the ticket serveral times and thanks to you for your insights. I look forward to your return to NZ and if any workshops are considered in the south Island, I for one would be a started.

Dear Deb, a good friend passed over yesterday morning.
After attending your show last week in Auckland, I am at peace with this. On Friday night when I knew she had been admitted to hospital I worked with energy/spirit with her. Over the weekend her Mum and Dad (whom she adored) were with her. Last night and this morning she came to me and is at peace.

Your natural ability to connect with those passed and relay information on to the ones left behind is truly a wonderful gift. I watch Sensing Murder religiously and enjoy it all the more when you are involved in the cases.
I have always believed in the after life and spent time reassuring people I have loved, who have since passed on, that they will still experience ‘life’ on another level. Of course convincing the sceptics is never easy, but I truly believe that you have opened up many people’s minds (and hearts) to this enigma. I do not have your talents, just the knowledge that there is more to come after this life.
The families of those who have died so tragically must surely find peace and comfort in ‘knowing’ what happened to their loved ones at the time of passing.

Saw you on Conversations With Robyn last night, felt an immediate feeling of sincerity from you and a true belief of what you do and what a down to earth person you are. I actually now send out love and blessings to people, so what I give out, I will get back in return, it made so much sense, thank you for bringing that up in your interview with Robyn as it had a huge impact on me. We are all negative at times, but I guess the idea is to let go of the pain we are caused and rather give the love and receive it in some way back again, I think what a wonderful way to live.

I have just read on your website where your heart hurts and you feel pain if you get put down for what you do. I would like to offer my comfort and support and can only conclude these people are ignorant and fearful of TRUTH and have closed their hearts and minds to it. By attacking the representation (yourself) of what they are afraid of they do not have to face those fears and have self justification in their actions.
Try saying this to yourself, " I no longer acknowledge what is not mine." I am not the author of these words but have found they seem to help when needed.
I received a ticket from my young son for Mothers Day to see you in Napier and think the work you do is so special as are you also. Be proud of who you are you - you are a Warrior of the Light and I'm not sure where I got that from but in saying so I have a wee goose bump or two.

WOW! I went to your Nelson show this week and you were amazing.
I have been to see Janette Wilson and Colin Fry (can't remember the guy that was with him) and had the odd card reading and although I did believe that there is life after death none of them were really really convincing. Not only were you very believable, I felt you connected people and left them feeling much better. You didn't use their grief to entertain people, although you were very entertaining! I think that was very much to your credit.

I have just discovered Sensing Murder over here in the UK and you are amazing. I have always been interested in any aspect of Mediumship/Psychics and Clairvoyants etc, but have more often than not, never been 100% convinced by some of the Psychics on TV etc. Until now.
I think the way you do your work with such compassion and empathy is unique, and you're so accurate its untrue.

Hi hope every thing is going ok with your Dad. My Dad had the same surgery a couple of years ago, but he's a tough old bugger and still trucking along.
Don't be hurt by callous people. I think what you do is amazing. I come from a spiritual family, and I can see how hard it is sometimes for the ones who are guiding others down the path of spiritual evolution.
Unfortunately some people are still finding their way and tend to lash out at times.

I wanted to thank you for the personal reading you did for me this morning.
I am eternally grateful for the messages of love and hope you gave me from my mother. You were totally spot on with the everything! I have been extremely emotional all day and now feel a sense of relief and understanding about my mum's passing. I was quite young when my mum died, and have always felt guilty about some things that I had done whist she was sick, and regretted the fact that I couldn't communicate to her when she died. 10 years later, and I now finally know that she loves me, and she knows that I did my best at the time.
I am also amazed that my grandparents are still with me too. I was really very young when they passed, in fact I hardly remember them, and this news gives me a sense of happiness that they still watch out for me.
Words cannot explain my eternal gratitude, you are a totally amazing person with an incredible gift. This reading has changed my life. I definitely hope to speak with you again in the future!
